Shannon Images offers its clients an exciting and new way of
showing their customers the projects they are undertaking.

With a mix of time-lapse photography and video images we can
condense a year long project in to a short video presentation that
will grab your clients attention and show them what you have to
offer. There is a wide range of applications for this new technology:

 Building Construction Projects
 Short term projects that happen in 24 hours or up to a week
 Time and Motion studies
 Marketing and informational purposes

As the project is progressing we can update the video/time-lapse
photography to the web where it can be viewed by your clients to
keep them informed of progress on site.

Below are a few examples of projects we have recently undertaken:
University of Limerick
Living Bridge
– Five-day Project

A key aspect of this construction
project was the installation of the
bridge sections across the river
Shannon.  Over a five-day period
the bridge sections were moved
from the construction area on the
banks of the river along a
temporary bridge structure and
then craned into place.  Each day
we updated our web-site showing
the progress on site.  This attracted
over 15,000 unique hits to our web-
site over the five-day period and
generated good publicity for both
the University of Limerick and the
various construction and
engineering firms involved.
Re-development of Thomond Park – Fourteen month
Project

As part of the re-development of Thomond Park in Limerick, P.J.
Hegarty & Sons who were the main design build contractors on site,
commissioned a time-lapse photograhpy/video project to record the
reconstruction of this iconic stadium.  During the fourteen months of
the project we shot a mixture of time-lapse photography and video
footage of the new stands being constructed and regular updates
were posted to a dedicated web-site,
www.standupandbuild.com.

The web-site achieved over 35,000 unique hits during the
construction phase of the project.  With this level of interest in the
project it proved a PR opportunity for all the contractors involved.

Sections of the construction time-lapse photography/video footage
were featured in the pre-match build up by all the main Television
Companies that cover events at Thomond Park including Setanta
Sports, RTE and Sky Sports.
Portumna Bridge
– Nine day project

As part of the refurbishment of the
opening span of the bridge that
crosses the River Shannon at
Portumna it became necessary to
replace the opening section of the
bridge.  Over a nine-day period the
old section of the bridge was
removed and a new section craned
into place.  Due to the importance
of the river crossing to both
vehicular and marine traffic the site
operated twenty-four hours per day
for the nine days of the project.  On
completion of the project the
video/time-lapse photography was
posted to our web-site. To date it
has been viewed by over 2,500
people and has proven very
popular with both the staff of
Waterways Ireland and the general
public.
Web-site Note: When we refer to unique hits we are referring to the
count of different IP addresses logged. Multiple visits from the same
computer will normally count as only one hit.
